Small Groups

Ohana means “family” in Hawaiian, and our small groups provide a family for those looking for support, encouragement, and partners in helping others in need.  Our small group ministry models itself after the first original church that is found in Acts 2, and is open to all people of different ages and stages.

 Core Values

In order for a group to be truly supportive and encouraging, there needs to be a certain values that are not only talked about and valued, but truly lived.  The three core values that dictate the culture of our small groups are grace, confession, and encouragement.

DNA

Divine Truth

So what do the small groups do?  They study and reflect on Bible passages and topics that are relevant for their lives.

Nurturing Relationships

Small groups take time to eat, fellowship, and care for one another by asking each other how they are doing, praying for one another, and doing what they can to help each other. The optimal question is, "How is it with your soul?"

Apostolic Mission

Small groups join together to serve others in need together.  Through prayer and discussion, each group decides how they would like to help and make a difference in people’s lives.

Ohana Logistics

New groups start twice a year, in the Fall and Spring, and meets about twice a month, but also takes time to serve others throughout the month and year.

Ohana Small Group Testimonies

“If something ever happened to me, I know my Ohana would be there for me; and I feel the same about them.  Ohana helps you understand how much God loves you.  What an awesome feeling.”

“Ohana has created a renewed focus to my spiritual journey.  Studying the Word, nurturing and being nurtured by my ohana family has brought new excitement to my faith and to my relationship with God!”

"Being members of our ohana has been a tremendous blessing to our family. We are so honored and humbled by the prayers and support of our ohana. We are filled with gratitude for the opportunity to serve in a group we have come to genuinely love."
